As Men In Kilts enters into the fall gutter cleaning season for we want everyone to think a little about saftey.
Every year we get calls to finish a job after an accident has occured and it is really sad that thousands of homeowners fall from ladders when it was totally preventable. MEN IN KILTS AT BBQ ON THE BYPASS!!!!
The Men in Kilts will again be the official clean up crew for BBQ on the BYPASS this year Sept 19th, 2010. We'll be on site in our kilts and trucks giving away Kilt Cash, Free Cleaning, Prizes and more! You won't be able to miss us. If you've never been to the BBQ, it's an awesome tailgate style event with over 4000 people dropping in to a parking lot, the biggest and best BBQ food in all of BC (after all this is sponsored by Angie at Well Seasoned Gourmet).

MEN IN KILTS - Auctioned off as a caddie and a nice harley at a golf tourney!
It's tough to golf in summer with a kilt (smiles!), but even tougher when you're the Men in Kilts. The last two golf tournaments were for the KIDS!
Nicholas Brand (Men in Kilts Founder) was auctioned off as a Caddie at the 2010 Chicks with Sticks fundraiser for Kidshelp Phone.
Brent Hohlweg (Men in Kilts Co-Founder) also attended the BIV Business in Vancouver Golf Tournament and the money raised went to the Zajac Ranch for Children.
We had a blast everyone!

Men in Kilts will be on The Express TV Show this Friday. We'll let you into a little fun behind the scenes peek with host Bianca Solterbeck. (The lucky man in a kilt is our awesome Alex Dynneson!).
Airtimes: Shaw TV - Friday Aug 27th at 3pm, 6pm, and 10pm plus repeating on the weekend.

It's that time year again. The Men in Kilts recently had a wonderful retreat in the Whistler Area and took up some summer golf! Not too hard to get a bunch of kilt wearing guys out on the links.

ALBERTA STUDENT WINS RIGHT TO WEAR HIS KILT!
At Men in Kilts we love "our freedom" to wear kilts. Nothing better in Vancouver on a fine Summer day to be cleaning some windows in your kilt. Its our right, so don't take that away from us!
So when you see that earlier this month, 19-year-old Hamish Jacobs asked his school principal if he could honour his Scottish heritage by wearing a kilt to his Graduation you'd think they would honor the lad....
They should have known not to mess with a good Scottish boy named HAMISH!
So if anyone knows Hamish tell him to contact us and we'll bring him to Vancouver to come by the head office (in his kilt of course!). TWITTER @meninkilts

GET BACK TO BUSINESS BASICS! Rework the book from 37 Signal founder is the best book of the year.
At Men in Kilts we're all about building a business built upon getting back to basics. Delivering a genuinely fun experience with our Services. So many people forget to get stand out, be remarkable and rethink what they stand for. They over complicate the whole process. We try to have a laugh and not taking ourselves too seriously. (Just Google Search: We love what we do in kilts !) So every once in awhile when a book comes along that is so inline with your thoughts you wonder if it was written just for you!
Rework really is that book. I could not say it better myself… "It's about getting back to the basics, making things easier not harder, and focusing on what really matters…" Its 288 concise pages and was written by the founders of 37 Signals the company behind Basecamp. Enjoy the book.
