ALBERTA STUDENT WINS RIGHT TO WEAR HIS KILT!

At Men in Kilts we love "our freedom" to wear kilts. Nothing better in Vancouver on a fine Summer day to be cleaning some windows in your kilt. Its our right, so don't take that away from us!

So when you see that earlier this month, 19-year-old Hamish Jacobs asked his school principal if he could honour his Scottish heritage by wearing a kilt to his Graduation you'd think they would honor the lad....

They should have known not to mess with a good Scottish boy named HAMISH!

So if anyone knows Hamish tell him to contact us and we'll bring him to Vancouver to come by the head office (in his kilt of course!). TWITTER  @meninkilts

WINDOW CLEANING - Do not fall from a ladder like this guy. OUCH!

At Men in Kilts Window Cleaning, Gutter Cleaning and Pressure Washing we take safety very serious.

Consumer Reports states every year 180,000 people in the US alone have ladder accidents. With Spring just around the corner take a moment to prepare yourself for proper ladder safety before starting the climb to do your window cleaning, gutter cleaning, or even pressure washing. Here is some good ladder safety tips: http://blogs.consumerreports.org/home/2009/06/ladder-safety-dtv-transition-multiuse-telescoping-extension-ladders.html.

Be safe. Or hire a pro. It can happen as quick as it did for this guy.

GET BACK TO BUSINESS BASICS! Rework the book from 37 Signal founder is the best book of the year.

At Men in Kilts we're all about building a business built upon getting back to basics. Delivering a genuinely fun experience with our Services. So many people forget to get stand out, be remarkable and rethink what they stand for. They over complicate the whole process. We try to have a laugh and not taking ourselves too seriously.  (Just Google Search: We love what we do in kilts !)

So every once in awhile when a book comes along that is so inline with your thoughts you wonder if it was written just for you!

Rework really is that book. I could not say it better myself… "It's about getting back to the basics, making things easier not harder, and focusing on what really matters…" Its 288 concise pages and was written by the founders of 37 Signals the company behind Basecamp. Enjoy the book.

NOT SURE IF THIS WOULD WORK IN AN OFFICE WHERE WE WEAR KILTS!

We spend alot of time at Men in Kilts thinking of marketing and branding. So we're always scouring the internet for fresh ideas and posting them on Twitter or here. Occasionally you ask yourself WHAT WERE THEY THINKING when you see something like this campaign!

Enjoy the laugh … We're pretty certain no one at our offices wearing KILTS would be asking for one of these!
